You may have seen the Statue of Liberty in New York, you can now visit the “Monument à la Renaissance Africaine” in Dakar. Finished in April 2010 as dreamt by Senegalese president Abdoulaye Wade, it is the world’s biggest bronze statue. But most people in Dakar were not happy about it as it cost a fortune.
